One thing from 1991 left a very great effect on me and most of
us - our struggle to have our own identity. This was the
time when you started to be what you would like to be. Each and
every one of us began to find our own path in life in koleq (I stress
this as many turned out to be something else once they left MC!).
I used to feel a great deal of repugnance towards people who smoke
or did anything against the college rules. I used to speak vociferously
against this in our batch meeting. I used to condemn some people
because I thought they must not do what they were doing. Nowadays,
I think I know where we might have gone wrong (if that was even
considered a mistake!). Life is a gift to every one of us, and he
is entitled to live his life his own way.
Others than that, there is not much I can recall about Form 2.
I cannot really say about Carnival SBP 1991 because I was
a born hopeless in sports. So, I was not at SMTSP when a quarter
of my batch celebrated their glorious days (by the way, was
it glorious?) in Kangar. I cannot write much about ‘desert’
though I know a lot of us feel so synonymous with the name in 1991
because I do not kick a ball, I only know how to head!
