Chronicles Of 9094
1993

This was the year when we 'received' new companions - the new intake of Form 4s. I am sure there were people who were quite sceptical about it, but most of us were really looking forward to it. I think I can still recall the day of 16 January 1993... I helped one of the boys and kindly, we carried his things from the car to his bed. All the way, I had to listen to his father’s complaint because MC did not offer an art stream (whole of my batch were science students!). Anyway, some of the new Form 4s felt that they were treated as second class citizens. This has been the case since the beginning of time. I know I do not have any rights to comment because I never experience the trauma (if that is how I should put it) they had gone through, but I am pretty sure that deep inside our hearts (old Form 4s), these things do not really matter. As long as you can prove your guts, we are more than happy to accept you as who you are...

However, most of us did get along very well with each other. Not surprisingly, when I left koleq, I realised that half of my best friends were the new Forms 4s. Some of the old Form 4s were even much closer to their ‘new’ friends, maybe because they found much more resemblance and similarities in these people. By the time we reached Form 5, I guess we all had reconciled our differences and stood as a batch - Form 5 94.
