After a while, I think people started to get fed-up with
all the batch meetings, with all the fued and boyish confrontations.
Most importantly, SRP was just around the corner and many of us
had not even bought any reference book yet (well, at least not me!).
So, you can imagine how shocked we were when we realise the time
left for us to study. This was the time when people began to throw
away all their problems and devoted most of our time studying...It
was bad, but I am sure it is still continuing in college. It's nothing
about the thrill (it is not that complicated laaa..!), but the fact
we could use the rest of the time doing the stuff we enjoyed - like
sleeping during afternoon prep throughout the year! Though it may
sound interesting, the last few days before SRP were one
of the most horrendous moments in my life (but on second thought,
that was comparatively a honeymoon).
There is one thing very special about our SRP. After the last paper,
all of us could not wait any longer to run to our lockers and throw
our books away. It has become a customary event in MCKK after any
major exams. Unfortunately, we were kept for half an hour in Hargreaves
Hall only to be told that they suspected the paper was available
to students in Klang Valley and we might have to do it all over
again. My disappointment was indescribable.... All the hard work
and sleepless nights now amounted to nothing, just because some
unscrupulous people in Klang Valley screwed up the exam papers!
It was quite an experience for us. We had to attend classes as
usual and did some revisions. It was really peculiar because
we had to pretend as if we have not sat for the exam yet, whereas
we all knew that we had already spent 2 horrendous weeks for it...It
was not until one week later that the Ministry of Education
announced the validity of the exam we sat. By that time, we lost
all the mood to throw away our books! So surprisingly, I still have
all my Form 3 books with me....(it has nothing to do with the events,
I would have kept my books anyway!)
